sure.. i see you game the r7 tps
i just retired those and went to a forged cavity back with a smaller head
as i have improved my ball striking has become much better, more solid and consistent.
because of the forged irons i dont feel as if though im pounding on the ball anymore, i have a softer smoother feel. yet ive gained 10-12 yards.
so i was simply making the same kind of comparison without this long explanation.
i have an original ping anser. same swing different feel, different outcome different confidence level.
hope that satisfies your thirst to understand my point of view.

Looks good... Can't wait to get my Del Mar when they're finally released to those of us without connections. :)

Likewise... I am also confused.

A putter that feels very soft, very solid, light, and that has a soft touch... sounds like a crap putter to me.

No more Camerons in my stable anymore, but this putter is sex on a platter!!!!!!!! (IMO)

I'd much prefer a handstamped version, but the price tag for that would not jive with a teacher's salary....LOL!

Nice putter. I really like the finish, been playing the Monterey model for a couple of weeks. I hate the fact it is stamped with "one of 500" on the toe (does not look as clean), but I couldn't wait for the standard retail. I hope the finish is durable and stays looking the exact way it is now, I know it is really not a true finish but instead a heating process. The gold hue looks really nice against the putting greens. I would like to try out the Coronado and the Sonoma as well.

Very nice!

:coolpics:

Have you (or anybody else with a California putter) any comments on how the finish is holding up to wear? I saw a very lightly used putter on ebay that from the photos seemed to allready have some wear, but it might as well have been only the photos that looked that way.

Scotty Cameron hardly has a spotless (pun intended) reputation regarding finishes!

I've had mine for a month and still looks as good as new, can't say I've used it much though what with the weather we have in the UK at the moment. Looks great, sure it putts even better, now it's just up to me to put a decent stroke on the thing.

Thanks Ziophils! The one I did see looked like it had wear scratches on the sole.

1 month already! Did you get one of the first delivered "first of 500"?

Have you found any good Scotty Cameron dealer in UK / EU (who?)? Or did you buy it from USA?

nothing special, rare or interesting about mine I'm afraid, simply got it off a rep at a stockroom.

The ones we have ordered for the shop are coming in January, not even sure when their official release date is but I'm sure you'll soon start to see them appearing in the shops.

The wait won't be long now :-)
