JZ shafts would seem rather weak for someone with Lee's SS and aggressive move through impact. Do you know if/how much they are hard stepped?

Lee is back using the G10 at the Masters.



Not totally sure about the grip, appears to possibly be a Lamkin Crossline Cord !?

I always find his grip for the woods a little puzzling. For someone that has used the same irons shats since day dot. I thought he'd have the same on the woods. Different thickness perhaps?

A feel thing.

He's chopped and changed grips a few times, playing yellow code Ping grips in his time - both diamond pattern-jobs and Dylagrips - before switching to thinner, white ones in recent years, but he's always gone for different grips on the woods. At least for the last decade or so.

For what it's worth, I don't know if he's still using it but he was bagging a G15 5 wood (albeit I'd call it a 4 wood) until recently. Still with the old NV shaft in it.

Some good shots of Westy's Lamkin Crossline Cord Grip on his driver and his Ping JZ Cushin Stiff shafts with White Ping Dylagrip Half-Cords which he was using on his irons right up until the end of last year.

After a week during which neither man played a tournament, Lee Westwood overtook Tiger Woods in the Official World Golf Ranking to claim the No. 1 spot.

Westwood, who has played Ping clubs since he was a teenager, uses the Ping G10 driver as well as Ping fairway woods, irons, wedges and putter.

Still a great driver so why change if it works for him? Same with G-Mac who only very recently changed from his FT-3 to the FT Tour FT9 T/A
