Had a round of golf with my brother earlier today. We both had Nikon rangefinders, mine a 500G and his the newer 350g. Had mine for a couple of years and never doubted the accuracy up til now as I'd never compared it to another rangefinder or GPS. However we compared distances on several ocassions throughout the round and found that my 500G was consistently showing distances 10 metres or more shorter than his. His were also consistently nearer to the course distance indicators. My battery indicator is still showing a full charge so wonder whether mine is faulty or would it be worth replacing the battery?
