If you could go back in time and play Littler, Sarazen, Hogan etc, in his prime on his golf course but with your equipement and your current golf balls .....

How would you fare?

In matchplay? Probably a 10&8 loss.

It's not like the courses have gotten that much tougher... If you're not a high plus capper, you'd get crushed.

I would probably be waving the white flag by the 5th tee

Agreed. Unless you were hitting sand wedges into every green, you would probably not stand a chance. I mean when you consider what Snead averaged off the tee for his career with the equipment back then, it really wouldn't make any difference if you were playing current equipment against what they had.

watch some of the old Bobby Jones videos, the guy was insane even with that equipment. Those guys were really really good too.

so in other words i'd probably only beat them on 18 :D

On the same course with Jones, Snead, Hogan, Sarazen - are you kidding? I'd be shaking so hard I wouldn't be able to lace up my shoes. The things those guys could do with what they had to do it with - simply magic! There are only a handful of today's pros who could stay with them in their prime.
