Congrats to Yankee nation. I so wanted to see a Dodgers vs Yankees World Series. Joe Torre vs Joe Girardi. Good thing for you Yankees that Philadelphia got lucky with the Dodgers. Otherwise, it would've been big trouble for you guys. :D

CC Sabathia money well spent
Burnett and Texiera not so much.
Better resign Matsui. Guy is so clutch.

Tex did good, maybe not so much at the plate but the guy is a vacuum cleaner at first base. He makes A-rod and Jeter look like much better fielders, plus he was solid all year. Burnett is a dork. I'm no longer a Yankees fan but the best part of it for me was seeing Hideki Matsui have a monster world series. One of the most underrated batters and clutch hitters in baseball and a consummate professional. Glad he got a world series ring, it really meant a lot to him and it showed in the way he played his whole Yankees career. Would be a damn shame if they didn't resign him for at least one more year.

Tex is probably going to either be the MVP or finish 2nd in voting in the AL this year, he was worth the money.

Congrats to the Yankees and their fans on a solid first year at the New Bronx Zoo...

Yes.....the World Series trophy is back where it belongs!!!

Girardi's changing his number to 28 next season.

One more decent starter and they'll win 115 games next year.

Must be great to a Mets fan these days....... :russian_roulette:

Big deal, they stink... it took them 6 games!! ;-)

(reference: Seinfeld, when George is giving advice to Jeter, and Jeter says: "We DID win the World Series".. George says "yeah... in SIX GAMES".)

lol @ rollins.

Yea Tex didn't have such a great series at the plate but his glove made up for it big time! Giambi would of done nothing for them and probably wouldn't of gotten there without him. I hope they resign Matsui & Damon.
