So what can we tell about her golfing abilities by looking at her picture? This all for fun, nothing serious! Let the games begin!

Posted Image

First note: she is carrying the golf bag in an unusual way...my guess is that she really plays a lot so she may carry the bag backwards because she is bored of carrying the bag in the "usual" way. Or maybe not.

But alas, she seems to have 2 towels clipped to her bag so maybe she is a serious golfer...

(to give her due respect, she is the WH chief domestic policy adviser, UM law school...)

That bag looks about as clean as the day she bought it at Wal-Mart.

The highwater pants are a nice touch too. That must also be a JL belt she is wearing.

She looks like she couldn't break 100 if you spotted her 3 strokes a hole in putt putt.

Problems:

1) Rainhood is attached on a nice, sunny day.
2) Everything is perfectly clean, like it's the first time she's played golf. No creases in the ballistic nylon or scuffs on the bottom of the bag from use
3) She's carrying her own bag. No bag drop? What kind of place is this?
4) She actually has a tee in one of the tee holders on the bag.
5) Tan belt with white shoes? Puhllllllease! Posted Image

It's more than likely Andrews AFB or Ft Belvoir golf courses so no, good luck getting curbside service.

Is that an advanced manuscript of Bennett's Stack and Tilt Book in the mesh pocket?

It must be nice to have connections!!!

I always thought that one of the best signs of a beginner/hacker is when they carry their bag like that, and I'm sure she fits that. I actually tried to carry my bag like that once for the heck of it, and it was ridiculously uncomfortable/awkward.

interestingly enough....as a junior i carried my golf bag like that as a junior. it was an old ping hoofer prior to the stand-era. i found it to be much more comfortable with the clubheads to the rear and then cradle them under my arm.

if i had the time or the interest....i would snap a photo of this procedure. it really did work.

Maybe there's a small selection of "vetted" golfing gear the Secret Service lets in, and so that's a brand-new "staff bag" in the literal sense of the word.

Ditto on the clean towels. Mine won't look like that again until...well, never. Even washed for the winter they won't look that good. Were those things pressed, too?

As far the rainhood goes, I have mine on almost all of the time, as it keeps my 5 yo out of my bag, and, it keeps the club from sliding out while in transit.

Maybe it's the camera angle, but standing next to that rig makes her look about 4'3".

Hope she played well and had fun!!!

Slightly off topic, but related. What happened to the "what does Obama have in the bag" thread. I posted a reply to it before lunch, I come back and it seems to have vanished. At the time there wasn't anything political in it. Did else notice it disappear?

Back on topic, was there an article that accompanied this photo, just wonder how she and Obama played.

Heheh. I keep tees in the tee holders on my bag. I've never actually used them, but my son put them in there when my wife gave me the bag, and I've never taken them out.

As for the lugs, I think the ones on the outside of the rim keep the rim together. The eight in the middle are what attach the rim to the very large axle.

I would love to have one of those suburbans that they use. They are like freaking tanks.

I don't have a problem with the new looking gear, I don't really want top administration officials who look like they play too regularly, theres too much serious work for them to do.

Don't forget that those Suburbans drive the president around and his staff. The tires are probably armor plated or something.

As for the bag or outfit, if you were going to play with POTUS, wouldn't you jazz it up a bit.....

I'm absolutely shocked by this photo...the poor little women has to carry that huge bag around by herself. Where are all those big strong secret service dudes? Can't they help her?

Those must be fairly new. I remember the photos of Obama a few months ago at Olamana in Hawaii......he was playing rags.

But then again, I imagine "gifts" just show up at your place when you're the President.
