WORTH THE READ \/ \/
So... people have always wondered what putting stroke is the best... inside to square to inside... or straight back straight through. The answer is NEITHER!! Both of these methods take the shaft off plane. The only reason the club comes inside on the backstroke is because the plane is inclined (more inside as the putter moves up the plane). But the shaft stays on plane!!
Myths: Keep the putter head low to the ground throughout stroke.
inside to inside is the correct stroke.
straight back straight through is the correct stroke.
rock the shoulders like a pendulum. Actually, the arms move the shoulders, not the shoulders move the arms.
Notice as the head moves up the plane, it would be more toward the inside, but the shaft of the putter stays on plane the whole time!! The only way a straight back straight through stroke would work was if the shaft got outside the plane.
REMBEMBER: The plane is flat!! Just like the full swing.

Notice the plane of the stroke does not change, but the club is further inside, just because the plan is inclined (at a tilt) with the shaft.
