he also said Cabrera can't play in cool weather..LOL...he obviously thinks Cabrera just jumped from Argentina to the US tour
Cabrera is a veteran of the European tour..he's used to playing in foul cold weather.

Miller has that disease ..folks thinking they are bigger than they really are. Megalomania

A big part of this is that he has to fill air time. Phil is playing great right now, although I don't really get Miller's comment. Tiger is clearly the best player in the world, and Stricker might be the best US player at the President's Cup right now.

In the afternoon matches, Tiger is just picking up his ballmark a lot of the time because Stricker is draining everything.

He also said he means how they are playing now. He likes to look at a small time frame.
Do not question Johnny Miller. He is awesome.

Johnny finally said something that made perfect sense today. "Sometimes I say things just to be controversial."

Also liked the comment about him being the best putter in the world when he was 12.

another ridiculous comment was when he said the tree that snagged Angel Cabrera's ball "was like Willie Mays's glove"...this is just pure idiocy. I've seen video of Willie Mays on numerous occasions, and his glove looked like a glove, not a tree. The tree that got Cabrera's ball was just your basic tree and not reminiscent at all of a baseball glove IMO....they should fire him for saying things like that

BTW hope this thread makes it to 9-10 pages. Johnny Miller is ridiculously under-discussed on this board

Oh joy, another thread about one silly comment JM made during a telecast. New Flash! in case you are not up on current events......he likes to talk and say whats on his mind. Phil won the tour championship in stellar fashion so technically he is correct. Sure Tiger is #1 in the rankings but his point was Phil is the hottest right now. I am pretty sure JM doesnt even remember saying it........blah blah blah

Wow ... this may be the single silliest comment made on WRX in the last month. I think you actually managed to say something more idiotic that Miller. (And he sets a pretty high bar).

Its called an analogy.
The tree is not a glove, the tree caught a golf ball like Willie Mays use to catch a baseball.

Like if I were to say that you are as dumb as a box of rocks for saying that.
I doubt you look like a box of rocks, but the comparison fits.

Also, i think Stricker is the best player in the world today, because he has been carrying Tiger all day, I think Tiger has helped 3 times all day.

Just so ya know...I knew where you were coming from. And at the risk of coming across as being agreeable...I agree with you. :secret:

thanks Beruo, us lefty Ping/Adams aficionados need to stick together.

BTW if you want to join the Johnny Miller fanclub, we need more members, so far it's just me and Dlygrisse. I want to print T-shirts that say "eh Rog" and maybe on the back they will say "hog's back"

Shoot. I'm a big fan of Johnny Miller. HUGE. Of course, living in Utah it's kind of a requisite. There's a reason everyone here talks about him and not the other way around. [baiting the hook]He did, afterall, shoot a 65 at Oakmont. :good:[/trap is set]

Who else could NBC get to replace Johnny Miller there has to be someone really I think that most of the people on this board could do a better job. He brings nothing to the broadcast. I really hate him.

The second best JM comment of the day was after an AK shot hit the green and was rolling slowly toward the hole. The opine was "There's a good swing."

No...seriously?

Miller is Miller...I thought the awkward part was Johnny kept arguing about it with the other guy in the booth...That was stupid.

Lucky you didn't say the last 2 months because I would've nominated some of your comments in this thread:
