I was watching CNN yesterday and an editor for a golf magazine said that Tiger was still going to play the U.S. Open and possibly a tournament before.

It sounds like he will be all business after his short mourning period, and I bet his focus will be the best it has ever been.

I have no doubt that Tiger will be back as strong as ever, but I would not underestimate the effect of losing your first parent. Tiger has the best focus of any professional athlete that I have ever seen, but in his first tournament after his father's death his mind may wander.

Of course I still might take Tiger against the field.

I don't think he will play the Nelson, but rather Muirfield Village. TW will want to win the Open for his dad, so I'm sure he will be at his best.
