Are the new ping bags available for custom order?

Wondering the same thing. The website lists the bags as available for "Personalization." What does that mean, and how do you get one personalized?

i emailed ping and they wrote back that you can't get personalization off their site u would have to do it somewhere else.. weird.

I'm not positive, but I believe personalization would consist of them adding embroidery to one of the pockets. I've seen bags with custom logos for sale at some resorts (not certain that they were Ping, though). My guess is that to get them to do a special embroidered run you would have to pay a set up fee and probably order a minimum of ten bags or so.

I think colleges can order full custom colored bags for their school teams. They're probably ordering like 25-50 bags at a time, though. I see college kids with Hoofers all the time. If you put together a big enough order, I'm sure they will be happy to customize fabric colors, it just won't be cheap.

I've also seen bags with the player's name embroidered on the ball pocket. I know the bags I saw with names belonged to "friends" of Ping, so they may not be available to the general public. You might be able to get a local embroidery store to add your name on a pocket if they can find a way to fit it on their machines.

Your best bet is to talk to your local Ping dealer, they will be able to get info from their reps that you won't get from Ping via email.

My wife got me a ping hoofer last year for Xmas with my name the larger bottom pocket (the one at the bottom center of the bag). Our club has a Ping account and she went through them to order it.

All you have to do is go to a Ping account and order it. The reply from Pings Website was to tell you they do not sell direct to the general public. Colleges and High Schools get a little differant treatment because of the quantity ordered. I know the last time I ordered my bag there was a 2-3 week lead time. Which is much faster than Sun Mountain!

Call Discount Dans, I bet they can get it done. Custom colors/piping requests do require a minimum order though.
