This weekend I tried a 10.5 Ping G5 and I really liked it. Loose grip and wrist break below beltline helped both distance and slice. Two things Jack Hamm told me on the phone. Must be a small custom operation if I got him on the phone. I think he hit those drives back in the 80's or early 90's?

There have been many Hammer posts on here- and all of them are making fun of the worst driver ever created and by far the worst infomercial- seriously. Jack Hamm has a mullet dating back to his Iroc Z days and he is wearing skin tight black jeans, can he clear his hips in those?

Lets not disucss the 80 yard hook he hits to get the ball over 400 yards! And he also created a "smart Shaft" that happens to adjust to your swing speed, why aren't all the pro's using this instead of the custmer shafts they use?


Whoever Myrlte Beach Golfer is, he apparently just joined last week so he can spread the word about an piece of junk club that no one will buy. Hope you enjoy hitting it 50 yards shorter than any member on here!

Ill ask again....Has anyone ever seen Jack in person or met him? It would be classic if someone could produce a photo of them self with Jack! Ive done some searching and I cant come up with anything to validate his claims of 6 time world long drive champion. I even searched the blog on the Long Drivers of America site and there are only 2 instances of him being mentioned. Both of which seem to be with sarcasm. Has anyone been able to validate this?

Two things...

First, a wood tee spontaneously igniting as the Hammer makes contact would be more fun.  Jack could yell "FLAME ON!!!!"

Second, they need to post a Mullet Alert before the ad starts.

oh yeah also just thought i should mention this. the one time i hit the hammer, on my 2nd swing the shaft snapped about 6 inches below the grip on my transition............. so yes its a turd.

Yeah, I saw it mentioned about him being a "6XLDC" when I was looking @ one of his videos on youtube...I couldnt stop laughing.

Here's a link to them claiming him to be a "6 time long distance champion(and record holder)" Video also claims that Golf Digest "clocked his swing speed @ an amazing 165 mph(which is pretty much impossible isn't it?)" Do the GD folks know this? .As soon as you click on the link, the topic of him being a "6 time wc" pops right up....



I give the guy credit for creating an interesting product, and some funny as hell videos...but thats about it. I spoke to the guy @  a pro shop here in town mon...when i brought up Jack;s name, here was his response:"

"Oh yes...Mr Pooooooooowwwwwww? His product is garbage...have you ever hit one of his crappy drivers?" (me: "No") (him0" Save your $$$, and consider yourself lucky. Me and some friends all went in on one one time to see what it was about. What a joke".


That about sums it up.

Yes, I realize there are a multitude of references and threads about The Hammer, but I don't care.

I'm watching the conclusion to the first infomercial, and I consider it the greatest 30 minutes in the history of television.  From the creepy dudes at the beginning, relating majestic stories about Jack and his Hammer, to Scott DaHarb, and including the caller from Tokyo ("will the Hammer work for me?)...this infomerical is perfection.  

Thank you, Jack Hamm, for designing the Hammer.  Thank you, Dr. Mike Kearns, for your Zolex.  Thank you, guy wearing an argyle sweater with a 10 gallon cowboy hat and boots, for being true to who you are.

I just don't think we recognize the genius of Jack Hamm...
