I will be making a trip down to vegas at the end of the month. Taking the sticks but will only be able to get in one round. Recommendations please!

I know that Shadow Creek(?) is fantastic, but I'm not exactly keen on laying out well over 2 bones for a course that does not have the "aura".... (Pebble, St. Andrews... etc).

Recommendations up to $200 please. I know that if I book soon I can get some discounts over the web...

Thanks in advance people!

Well, since Shadow Creek and the Wynn are off the list. You should venture up to Wolf Creek, or try the Paiute courses. Those are very nice tracks and well within your price point.

Wolf Creek

Paiute Golf

I Love Vegas golf! Enjoy.

EDIT: Geographically, Paiute at about 30 minutes away, is much closer to Las Vegas than Wolf Creek (about 90 minutes).

I concur on Wolf Creek and the Paiute courses.

Also consider TPC Las Vegas (was TPC Canyons).
Or Revere Concord and Lexington.

Of the three Paiute courses, any one better than the other or are they all great?

Bears Best is awesome.. its all the best Nicklaus holes from west of the mississippi river put into one course. All the agriculture is spot on for the state/country the hole came from. Red sand from baja mexico, pumice from montana, ect...

Paiute Wolf Was a great course.. best of the 3 at Paiute and they do a play all day special if i remember right.

I played TPC.,. it was alright.. tons of construction so if you dont mind a spanish lesson while the condos next to the fairway are being built then go ahead.

Bears Best was very very slow on the day I went.. slow like 3 carts at each tee box.. 6hr round.. but one of the best courses i have played PERIOD and i have played some awesome courses in the last year.

My recommendation is the TPC Las Vegas.

Friendly and accommodating Head Pro. Todd is his name. Great guy. Awesome course!

Great memories from there!
