How many are aware that there is a new Guru Utility v 2.0.5.1?
I am not sure what all it does but one thing it does do is that when you sync your Guru with the web site is if after uploading data to the Guru server it does not continue downloading all of your courses unless you have made a change in your course selections on the Guru server.
This is a time saver.
I don't think that there was any e-mail announcement of this.
I understand that it works with all versions of the Guru.

I downloaded and installed that new sync utility last night after reading your post. It really speeds up sync since it doesn't reload all the courses that you already have. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm not sure what has happened to their e-mail notification system. Maybe everyone is busy doing aervue (sp?) mapping. I found out about the new utility when I purchased a "demo" GG4. I already own a GG2 and fired up my existing utility and connected the new unit. Nothing happened, so I called tech support, and he told me of this new utility. Deleted the old utility, downloaded the new, and everything worked fine. And yes, it is nice not having to wait for every course to download each time.

Are you sure? I could find no mention of it on the GG web page.
Maybe you could point out what part of the site you went to to find it.
Thanks

Just go to the GG site and navigate to Support and then Update. It is not labeled anywhere as new. Simply download the utility to your desktop. You first need to delete the current utility you are using by going to the GG folder. There is an uninstall utility there. Once you have uninstalled the old simply launch the newer version from your desktop. You will not see anything that indicates that you can simply upload your rounds to their server without having to re download all of your courses, it just happens when you sync the next time. The utility has the ability to sense that you do or do not have any new courses to download.
Hope this helps.

Has anyone had problems with user mapped courses since the guru utility upgrade? I downloaded it on Thursday when I switched out some courses and on Friday my personal map of my my home course is broken, everything is still there, but the yardages are all off by like 20 to 40 yards.
