Welcome George67!

What courses do you frequent in Dublin? I lived in Ireland for 8 years (Dublin, Waterford and Tramore). When I lived in Sutton, I spent quite a bit of time at Deer Park in Howth, nearly cried in grief at Port Marnock and dogged it around Citywest a good bit.

Is McGuirks Golf still a good golf shop? The small location in Howth was a blast form the past - jam packed. The big location in Blanchardstown was nice and roomy :)

Have to say I miss the pace of play in Ireland - in Canada I am lucky to get in a round in under 4.5 hours, even starting before 7am. At the Waterford municipal we could easily get a fourball around in 3 and a half.

Regards, Chris

Hi Chris,
i'm a member of arklow in wicklow a 40 min drive for me ,i'm from killiney mcguirks is still a top shop with a new shop in leopardstown but pro shops starting to catch up with value .
I play links so it can be a bit slow at times but finished a 2 ball round recently in 2 3/4 hours .
the pace of play across the pond is extremly slow , I once caught a 2ball in buggies (1 each!) with a 4 ball walking !!!! when I played near Marta,s Vinyard.
well i,m off to play woodenbridge now so i,ll speak to you later
Regards G (cool)
