Im looking for a very soft feeling 56* wedge.

Any thoughts of what I can do to soften the feel of my vokey's or should I just look in another
direction and buy a new wedge.

You thoughts please !!!

My vokey wedges are black nickel.

Sensicore insert (or some equivalent) in the shaft might help
dampen vibration.  Otherwise, maybe more centered contact cause practically any club struck in the sweet spot shouldn't be harsh at all.

It is almost impossible to remember how tragic a place the world is when one is playing golf. -Robert Wilson Lynd

Miura black wedge....feels great...doesnt spin as much as a Vokey or the VR wedges...but great feeling.  But I agree with person above me...if any club is not perfectly struck in the sweet spot, then most, if not all wedges/irons will feel slightly harsh.  Let us know with what you go with...i was actually llooking in to get rid of my VR sandwedge and the lobber and opt for a 58* Yururi wedge...their going for about $140 on tourspecgolf.com.  Nothing wrong with the VR or the Vokeys, but wanted to try some JDM equipment.  Good Luck!!! :)

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Vega.

Of the larger OEMs, I'd say Mizuno.

tiger woods forged wedges from 2008 are nice and soft.  When the x-forged are hit correctly not too hard either.

Yeah, the Mizuno or Scratch.  If you try a Scratch JLM wedge, you dont have to drop a ton of cash.  They are reasonably priced.

Interestingly enough though, the Tour Issue Vokeys feel MUCH better than the retail.  I didnt believe it at first until I tried one.  I had a full set of spin milled (54 bent to 52,56,60).  I kept wondering why all these pros loved vokey when those felt soooo crappy.  I picked up a  raw tour issue and was like OOOOHHHHH!  Completely different.  Softer, heavier and much better feel.  Although if youre going $200+, try and fancy Scratch 1018.

scratch are the softest wedges period they use the softest steal of anybody. you can get different versions you can go tour dept. and get any grind you want, or you can pay 149 for the same steal with just a few grinds. still better deal than 125 for some of the other oem's much better club all around, no matter what direction you go.

Mizuno is the softest I've used.

Cally X tours were close.

Both got beat up from just one season.

I love my vokey spin milled.  I'm going into season three with them and they still bite.

I really like these Carnahan forged wedges,  great head and sole design, and a pleasing soft sound at impact.

The softest feeling wedge was the MacGregor V-Foil 1025 Tour from ~2000, but the Mizunos are almost as soft.  Hogan forged wedges are nice too.
