so at the barclays last week i remember seeing jason dufner who i assumed was sponsored by titliest because he rocks a titleist hat, glove, and clubs

but he has a weird bag, i couldnt read what, but it wasnt titleist

i see him today in the coverage and hes playing well so i wanted to see what he is playing

i go on the titleist webstie and they dont list him under their tour pros

does anybody know the deal with him, he looks to be pretty young, so i was just wondering basically what his story

thanks

His story is that he has the personality of an ironing board, and no sponsor probably wants him representing them.

Do you know him? I used to see him around when he was in college and thought he was a nice
guy.

He's a pretty nice guy, but he certainly doesn't have much of an outgoing personality. I used to play and hang out with him quite a bit. I was already off the team when he walked on, but I still played with a lot of the guys. He's not a bad player for a guy that had to go through try outs to walk on the golf team in college. :) I was pulling for him today.

There is less sponsorship money down the money list than one may think. He is an independent contractor and is leveraging the most he can from his sponsors. Titleist doesn't pay too big apart from a few top names. They support many, from club pros to touring professionals. Strength in numbers rather than in big checks.

Jason probably doesn't have as much experience in the media room. Perhaps he didn't major in communications, or have a chance to sit down with Arnie, Jack or IMG specialists.

I also believe that he was a member on here at one time.

This may be from last year as he is putting with the Kombi now.
