… To repeat: I have no accessories on my bag. Just clubs, headcovers on my woods to protect my graphite shafts and a mid sized plain white towel draped between my clubs. (that may or may not have come from a hotel ; ) I clean my heads and grooves the old fashioned way, ½ wet towel and ½ dry. I play without a glove and it is imperative that I keep my grips dry, so I also use one side of the wet half to keep my grips clean and then dry them on the top half. I use the other side of the wet half to clean my clubheads. Yes, I have mixed them up putting mud on my grips. I have also lost more than my share of towels that just fell off my bag. I tried a golf towel that clipped onto my bag, but managed to get everything wet from my shirt to my shoes. So the simple towel that can be moved from side to side is far from a perfect solution, but it is the best I have found. I picked the Frogger Amphibian Towel as the Best of PGA Show 09 … Accessory, because it sounded simple, easy to use and something I had been looking for. IF it did everything it said it would, it was really a no brainer. … For those that did not read the original review, the Amphibian Towel is basically two 14" by 14" double sided towels sewn together on two sides. You hang it from a carabineer at the top corner of the two sewn sides. You now have TWO towels sewn together with a waterproof membrane in between the outside and inside layers. This allows you to completely wet the inside, while the outside stays dry. I use the right inside to clean my grips and the left inside to clean my clubheads. The inside of the towel is a semi rough terry cloth made with 100% bamboo which absorbs three times more water than cotton, while drying three times faster than cotton. Bamboo is also naturally anti-fungal and anti-microbial, so the Frogger claim was: no dank smell. Turns out bamboo is not quite a miracle material although it certainly works. Yes, it curtails any fungus or odor from the towel. But after several rounds in a row, it does begin to smell a little. This is easily remedied by washing it. And for all the exotic materials, it is a towel so you can wash it all you want. The Frogger website is filled with info, so if you are interested click on the link below:

... All that anti-fungal, accelerated drying times and multifunctional materials sounds great, but the real reason I am so enthusiastic about this double sided towel is: it works!!! The waterproof membrane keeps the inside wet for 18 holes with no additional water needed. And I am talking about a hot, sunny and windy day. I love hitting an 8 iron on the 16th hole, then cleaning it with a "still wet" towel. It ain't rocket science, it's just a towel that stays wet and does exactly what it is supposed to do... clean your iron heads during the round, staying wet for the entire 18 holes. For $20, it's cost computed over a full season is next to nothing and a killer bargain. I'd love to hear from others that have tried it, because I can't imagine anyone being anything but delighted with it's performance…

I am always skeptical of infomercials that i see on the Golf Channel but i gave the frogger a try and it was by far the best investment i made last year. It does everything you said it does. I can't see another accessory coming out that can beat this towel. It should be a repeat winner for years to come. Great pic.

... LOL. The Frogger just started an infomercial series. I guess it is the way to go in today's climate. I think they should just say "It's just a towel. But the best towel you will ever own!".
