Hi

I am from England and I am thinking of coming to watch the 2007 US Open and I have a few questions.

How would I go about getting tickets?

What else is there to do in Pennsylvania and where would you recomend staying.

Thanks :)

This has something about applying for tickets. I think it starts June 19th. There are always ticket brokers.
Not familiar with the area, maybe someone else could chime in.

Oakmont is outside of Pittsburgh, which is a major city on Pennsylvania, so, as in most cities, there is a good amount of things to do.

Staying in the City during Open week may be tricky unless you book early.

Well you won't fly direct to Pittsburgh, you will have to go through Boston or New York, which are great at that time of year.

If you want to play golf, nearby Ohio (to Pittsburgh) has some great great private courses that would probably be receptive to foreign visitors if your write a letter.

I am from Pittsburgh. Oakmont is about 30 minutes from my house.

I can provide all the necessary "Pittsburgh Inside Information"....great food, bars, hotels, entertainment, golf courses, etc.

Either ask away or send a PM.

Cheers guys.

I will be coming with the wife who's birthday is june 11.
So even though she wants to go and watch the golf for a couple of days
she (and I) want to do and see some other stuff whilst we are in that
part of the world.

I might even bring my stick if I can get away with it.
