I was wondering if Illiac headcovers are worth the extra money compared to Rocket Tour headcovers. I like the Rocket Tour's I have but I want to try something new. Any suggestions?

I have an Iliac hybrid headcover. It's nicer than the Rocket Tours and since it's made of wool it seems to hold up better. It's still thinner than my Jan Craigs so for my buck I'd go for a set of Jan Craigs. The fairway and hybrid covers are the same price or a little less than Iliacs so the whole set price wouldn't be any more and they're definitely very well made and the lifetime guarantee is great too. The only drawback is the 4 week wait IMHO.

Rocket Tours are just a cheaply made product. Iliac and Jan Craig are so far superior its not even a contest.

I prefer the Iliac putter covers when you have putters with delicate finishes. They eliminate the scratches that velcro can leave behind.

i have the pom for the driver and the tassel for my 3wood and hybrid. all high quality. much much much better than my rocket tours. however i don't know how they compare to the Jan Craigs. I wasn't really thrilled about the 4 week waiting time for Jan Craigs and since Illiac has their stuff in stock, it made perfect sense. my suggestion would be to get the tassel. the pom is a bit big on the driver and makes it sag a bit.

I had a guy on another forum tell me he had to use the Iliac 5 wood/utility cover on his 3 wood because the 3 wood cover sagged and would slide off his club. This is one area where Jan Craigs shine - I have 8" poms on both my driver and 3 wood and both fit absolutely perfectly and don't sag at all. Jan Craigs have the proper shape figured out as well as sewing elastic into the neck to keep it snug. Another reason they're the best in the biz as far as knit headcovers go.

I've been using Iliac covers for the past couple of years, and I've grown to like the leather ones so much. I still have the woolen ones for all my clus, and use them sometimes in winter, since they pass the heat to my arms while carrying. Quality is outstanding anyway, and you can personalize them any way you want

Ryan Moore was sporting green Iliac wool covers this weekend along with an Iliac leather belt. Here's the press release I just got today from Bert Lamar of Iliac

they are HEAVY... much heavier then the rocket tours. ive never seen/held jan craigs, but my rocket tour does the job just fine. the iliac putter cover looks great though, so classic...

I always thought that hybird + utility were the same thing.

What are the differences in hybird h/c's + the utility h/c's?

The utility cover is slightly longer, more for a wood-style utility than an iron-style hybrid.
