bmac13: how are you playing Augusta a few weeks before the Masters tournament? The course is closed from Nov-May even to it's members.  They have all the TV towers, tents and bleachers installed.  Just wondering how you're getting on when the only people able to during this time are past champions.

But the course is closed at the moment?

Just wanted to edit and say I'm not doubting you, I'm just wondering how you're so lucky to play in the best of best conditions and possibly play on the same day as Tiger or Phil doing their practice rounds and having the course to yourselves because of no member play.

Wholeinone. Augusta National does not officially close until this coming Sunday (3/24) They stay open even during construction of bleachers etc, then the final touches are put on the final two weeks prior to tournament. This week and weekend they have the "Members Jamboree" basically a club tournament for its members and always draws great players from other high quality clubs (pine valley, seminole, oak hill, etc)

Merion, three times.  You could cut the history with a knife.  Oak Hill, as great as it is, a distant second.

Ok, can strike Newport Country Club in Newport RI off my list. Played it yesterday and have the wind-burn to prove it. :)
