since most golfcourses are pictured via google earth, I thought we could share the coordinates of our home courses. And maybe tell a story about your favorite hole.

One of my favorite storys happend on the 10th hole a hort Par 4. I was playing a foursome with one of my mates. And so far played some of the best golf of my life. I was 1 under for the last six holes. When we got on to the 10 my mate told me to rip the driver, so I went for it and hit the sucker 311 Yards to the middle of the green.
Ha ha. I spend so much time on google earth that when that picture came up i went straight for the red dot on the green to move it measure the pond carry.
This is basically my home course, aside from the muni across the park from me I grew up on, this is definitely the course I refer to as my home course. Keller in St. Paul, MN. It held the 1932 and 1954 PGA Championship in addition to the the St. Paul Open on the PGA Tour from 1930-'68: http://www.co.ramsey.../kellertour.asp
When it comes to genuine golfing history there is no place in Minnesota in a league with Keller Golf Course. Established in 1929, Keller was the premium public course in the state for many years. Golfers from Generation X may not even realize that Minnesota was a regular stop on the PGA tour for decades unless they’ve actually visited Keller. A quick clubhouse stop for a hot dog and beer between holes 11 and 12 can get dangerously extended if one starts to look at the photos and memorabilia. The St. Paul Open was held here from 1930 to 1968. The PGA Championship came in 1932 and again in ‘54. Names like Snead, Demaret, Sanders, and Floyd are seen on the winners plaques. The ladies came to town for the Patty Berg Classic in the 70’s, too. For several generations many of the east metro’s finest public course players were proud to call Keller their home course.
If I ever won the lottery, this would be the course I would buy, and I would lengthen it in many ways. My favorite hole on the course? That would have to be #12 - 510 yard or so par 5 or #14, short (beautiful ) par for with trees, bunkers and water, and an elevated tee shot. Heck, I just love the whole course.
Love my home course, but it is tight. I don't have a favorite hole, but I have my nemesis; #6. Unfortunately it is in a lower population density area so the sat images are not so good.

That's a lot of trees! Looks really nice though.
I was about to say the same thing. looks like a real nice parkland course. You must have a straight drive!
Just Great Mizzy, as if I don't spend TOO much time on this site as it is. You have to encourage 90,000 golf addicts to post pictures of their home courses It's bad enough I ogle everyone's golf clubs now I'll be doing the same with their courses.
If I get fired or in trouble with She Who Must Be Obeyed, I'm pointing the finger directly at you!!!
OK, here's mine. But it says the images were in 2002 and the course was still only a few years old then and has grown in much nice since then.

...well that's hardly my fault Just call it future vacation planning
BTW.... Is your course under the sea? Because that's what google-earth is showing me
My "home" course is Columbia Golf Club, Columbia, IL. I love the #1 elevated tee shot - there are a few of these since the course is at the edge of the bluffs bordering the Mississippi River.
The #3 hole is my doppleganger, but also where I've had my best drive ever. Caught it right on the sweet spot and dead straight and hit it 260 yards out. (I'm usually a 190-210 kinda guy). That may not be a big booming drive to some of you guys, but it was pretty cool for me.
Usually I drive it along the tree line on the right fairway and have nothing but wood between me and the pin.

...my bad, found it!
HA!!! I like that Vacation research. I may have had a bad coordinate in mine, I corrected it and it should be working now. Say, how do you guys get the red yardage thing-a-ma-gigee to work? Everytime I try to click and drag on a hole it takes me down to ground elevation.
Im quite jealous at how beauty a lot of your guys home courses are! There aren't any that nice around me, maybe its the continuous rain in the UK making every course look drab. Oh how I wish the sun would come out for more than a couple of days!
Here is my home course.....tight, small, great rolling greens, only 6200 from the tips! Post a good score here and then you can play well at any course!!!

Where the formatting options are for your post, it has bold, italics and underline. To the right of those there is a little green plus sign. Click that.
53°20'15.12"N 1°10'47.12"W puts you in the middle of the second hole of my place.
That's awesome Matt. Looks like you've got your own nice little Amen Corner with Holes 2,3 and 4. At least from the aireal view that tee shot on No. 4 looks pretty intimidating coming out of those trees. Almost like 18 at Augusta. Pretty sweet looking course.
Here is my hometown course that I play on the weekends.
There is a dirt race track that is a B!@# on the summer weekends (occasionally) the wind blows from the west so we get the loud noise and then dirt and dust blow over on the second hole a par five. It is a really nice course, but the dirt bike track and the location of it being in the middle of nowhere, it gets no recognition.
Wow, nice! If only there was a way to live nearby, you'd be all set!
I believe he probably does. The course is in Haymarket, Va and his profiles says he's in VA. It' s a very nice private club about 30 to 40 miles outside Washington, DC. I had the opportunity to play it once and it was in phenominal shape and a great layout.
Okay, I just reread your post, and got the sarcasism this time Sorry my bad!!
Misses out some of the best stuff, for example a par 4 with a tee shot out of the trees across the corner of the lake (around 9 o'clock on the picture).
Here's a picture of my course (Yakima Elks). Pretty tight with trees lining mostly all the fairways. Only water on a few holes. Very small greens which I think is great cuz it makes you concentrate on your approach shots more. Yardage from the tips is 6640 with a rating of only 71.6 (par 71) and slope of 123.
