My brother and I have attended ND opening home game for the last 4 years.
On our way out, we stop and play golf in Ohio on Thursday AM (usually stop and play Boulder Creek in Streetsboro, OH), drive to South Bend Thursday PM. Friday we play golf in SB.. ( Morris CC, Warren and Blackthorn).
Looking to play a different course in Ohio on way out Thursday (hopefully convenient to Ohio turnpike)and also Friday in the Michiana area this year.
We are looking at Indiana National at Swan Lake, Lake Michigan Hills, Hawkshead Links, and Rock Hollow Golf Club right now...
If anyone can shed some light on these other courses, or suggest others,
we would appreciate it.
Thanks

Eagle Creek in Norwalk is just south of the Turnpike and a very nice course.

Well, I'll just cut and paste what I put in another thread:
I'm not a big fan of Lake Michigan Hills. It's cheap, but I thought that the conditioning wasn't great (fairways and greens were kind of long), and it just didn't seem to have a lot of character. Downside is that Hawkshead is probably another 25 minutes further away.

I haven't played Rock Hollow, but I absolutely adore Hawkshead. Very reasonable, beautiful practice facility, very southwest michigan feel, what with all the sand dunes.
