Why are his distance numbers so much more, when his ball flight numbers are really similar??

Any other ideas why the yardage numbers would be so different?

I was just trying to figure out the yardage gap, b/c his launch stats do not translate to a 291 carry at all.

These stats are wrong. For him to have a lower launch angle, and a lower spin rate than you, he should carry it shorter than you. Now I know that everyone will argue this, but for two players who are scratch or better then numbers aren't that different. Then only way you would carry it shorter than him, is if you had a crazy high spin rate that caused your ball to balloon. This does not make a judgement on total distance however. What really matters is the landing angle. He would have a landing angle lower than you when launching it lower than you and less spin than you, but he should have more roll out. Both are around 20 yards. So point blank, the distance numbers are wrong. I would bet the total distance is 291. and the 316 is longest hit. PGA tour stats say he averages ~286 in total distance. He would need a ball speed in the 170s to carry 290. The numbers are wrong.
My numbers 103 Swing Speed 13.5 launch angle 2306 spin rate 155 ball speed 1.49 smash factor 261 carry 295 total Landing angle 29.8. I have a low landing angle so I pick up a few yards in roll.

I knew those numbers couldn't be right. They didn't make scientific sense.
I appreciate the input.

Does look different than the Ping Prototype he has been playing for a couple years now. Weird. Was anyone there that can confirm this?

Maybe altitudes, warmer weathe. I know my track man results aren't accurate until April, etc. when it's warm.

I was just going to post it's probably conditions. Usually it's 5-6% at higher altitudes 2000-3000ft.

I just got the Zing iWi (now on sale new for about $80) and have never felt a nicer putter. I know I'll get maimed for mentioning this but that putter feels better than a Scotty especially when you mess with the weighting yourself - dropped me from a 6 to a 3 handicap in 1 month due to confidence and feel... I'm now looking for used ones on Craigs to build a collection...
