Hi,

I will be in the Rochester NY area at the beginning of August. I know the area has a lot of nice golf courses. Can you guys tell me which courses are a must play in the area?

cheers,

LAL

I've only played a couple, webster and Ravenwood.

Of the two Ravenwood is the far superior course. Fantastic layout for certain, could host a PGA event without a doubt. Only problem I had was the price, it was something like $55 for me just to walk on a weekday. And while I got a great layout for the price, the condition of the course left something to be desired.

(1) Play Oak Hill during your August visit.
(2) Leave immediately, before winter storms hit.

Ravenwood, Greystone, and Mill Creek are all very good courses. They will all run about the same price wise.

Isn't Oak Hill private?

Yes. I'm guessing it was a joke. Unless you know someone, its not gonna happen.
