On July 15th, the Angel Park Golf Club hosted it's 1st ever Facebook Fan Appreciation Tournament. The event was opened to golfers that have become 'fans' of Angel Park Golf Club on Facebook. 144 spots were filled for a day of free golf with free range time, free food, prizes, and FREE BEER. The tourney was a huge success!
Angel Park plans to hold more free golf tournaments here in Las Vegas in the future. If you are a Las Vegas local, or a frequent vistor, become a fan of the course on Facebook.
The Free tourney was a great idea and provides free marketing for the course. I've never heard of a golf club doing an event like this, but it turned out to be great. They raffled off a prize for one lucky winner - - Free unlimited golf for 3 months! I didn't win. Oh well.
Before you comment, I am in no way affiliated with the golf course, and get no benefit from plugging them like this. I just think social networking can be a great tool to get golfers together to do the thing we like - PLAY GOLF.
