Hey do we have any wrx'ers that live in Southern Alabama that can elaborate?

I am hearing as of today, Kiva Dunes will be closed until September. They are trying to get their greens back. A friend played there last week and said they were only charging $50 but that was still too much because their greens were in horrible shape.

Also I hear that Lost Key is having issues with their fairways. Tons of brown areas.

Has anyone else played down there recently and if you have do you have any reports of course conditions? Particularly the Craft Farms, Peninsula and the course at Pensacola NAS, AC Read?

Golf.gulfshores.com is a good site, however they don't go into detail about current course conditions.

Not sure about Kiva or AC Read but I drove by Lost Key yesterday and the greens loked great, but there were deffinitely some unusual brown spots in the fairway. Not sure what is going on over there havent played there in like 2 months. Im sure that you can find Cotton Creek or one of the other Pensacola areas course that are in great shape though.

Thanks for the information!

Kive has posted a note on their site explaining what's going on. We'll probably just play AC Read a couple times that week we are down. Two nines the first time, the same nine and the other nine the next. Glad to see they have 27.
