We were playing a week-long tourney out in Mesquite NV last week and ventured over to the St George area for a round at this relatively new track in Hurricane.

The course was pretty broad for most of the front 9. You could wail away on the ball and not worry too much about losing it. The greens were gigantic and very quick. Odd undulating fairways where there was rarely ever a plain old flat lie.

The back 9 contained the signature holes, namely the par 3 14th and par 4 15th that played cliffside along the Virgin River.

Really sweet course. Can't wait to go back! We got on for $65 at 4PM on Friday and had no issues finishing. There may have been 4 groups out on the course that evening.

It really is a nice course. The front nine is fairly straight away and almost boring, but the conditions and the scenery make up for it. The back nine is a lot better, layout wise. I wish we had played it from the further back tees to bring more of the trouble into play on the front. Next time...

I thought it was better than Coral Canyon, but not by much (I really liked Coral Canyon). I liked both courses better than Wolf Creek once the 'wow' factor of Wolf Creek wore off.
