philly mick repeat watson's open chip in? i always thought 17 at BPB looked like 17 at Pebble

I was just about to type the same thing. A little longer, but looks the same otherwise.

Lucas Glover...tight.

Who says that a major isn't interesting unless TW is in the mix?

Glover hits it to 6 feet on 16. Duval waiting on the tee at 17. Mickelson lining up for par on 17 green.

Everytime Phil....EVERY TIME.

Maybe when Phil learns how to make a 4 footer under pressure he will win an Open someday.

Duval short on the 17th hole, almost in the same spot as Phil on his tee shot.

That Jackie Burke Jr. drill doesn't seem to be worth crap in comparison to a set of good nerves.

Anyone else pissed about how easy they set up the 18th hole? I think it's a lame way to finish a United States Open Championship.

BIRDIE for Glover on 16, he's up by 1 over Duval, 2 over Mickelson going to the 17th tee.

Barring a horrible shot on 17 Glover is going to win this. 18 is just set up way too easy.

i guess you never know but not looking good for Phil especially.

after all the talk about how "easy" it plays, what i dont get is why on earth would they move up the tees even one foot if the players cant drive the green??? they cant even reach the front bunkers. it makes no sense. all they did was take the fairway bunkers out of play completely.

Terrible for ANY tournament much less the Open.

But its the USGA and they are known for making stupid decisions on setup.

Absolutely ridiculous to have a 380 yd hole to finish.

NOOOOOO! Duval's par putt horseshoes out, he makes bogey on 17. Glover is now up 2 on the field, with his tee shot on 17 coming. He's really have to screw up now to lose it.

The lower 18th fairway is too wet. They had to move it up.

problem is pin placement. it doesn't reward and somewhat penalizes the aggressive tee shot

It's over now....if you're on the green where Glover is you'd need to have an arm chopped off to two putt...

Did I just jinx him? :man_in_love:
