I've never had a problem in the past but my current Footjoys (which have been worn about 10 rounds) are beginning to rub a spot on my right heel. I've been carrying a lot lately and have noticed that my right heel gets pretty sore about 1/2 way through the round (left foot is just fine). Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and knows some easy solutions to keep your heel from rubbing on the backs of the shoe? I've tried those Dr. Scholl's heel liners and they are complete garbage. I just slap a bandaid on before the round and that helps with the friction but doesn't cure it. Thanks in advance.

Wear some socks that are a little thicker.

Get some Moleskin..great stuff, thicker and more adhesive than a bandaid. And you can cut it to any size. You should be able to find some in the shoe inserts section of stores.

I tried wearing a little thicker/taller sock and it did help but only delayed the pain onset. Might have to try 2 pairs and see what happens.

Thanks for the tip. I'll be sure to check that out.

Tight socks prevent more friction and also i've done this and it's worked: put cotton balls on the heel of your sock so its a bit cushioned. if you stuff them right they will just create a buffer and will protect your heel in the meantime. Also, your new shoes may be a different size or new style and shape which your foot is not used to.

I am breaking in a new pair of Classics Tours right now, and I forgot how much fun this process is...

This pair seems to be taking its time - the leather on top is just eating up the TOP of my foot right where the shoe bends. Ouch. Wrapped my foot in athletic tape today to keep the blisters at bay.
