I had ordered one of my fairway woods - Rapture V2 3W - from Golfsmith before I found out about Discount Dan's. When I received my new Rapture V2 5W today (ordered from DD's) I noticed the headcover was different than on my 3W. The headcover from my 3W is actually the Rapture V2 hybrid cover with a "3" tag on it. I called Golfsmith and was told that it must have come from PING this way and I would just have to accept it as is. The headcover is definitely a snug on the 3W as compared to the 5W. Has anyone else had this issue?

I would call Ping directly now, I am sure they will fix the problem. It is probably Golfsmith's fault though. You could try getting a hold of someone else there.

Yes, I had that problem, but raised hell to the manager until he caved, went into the PING ben and got me the correct one. Really though, the headcover is so damn ugly that I'm not so sure I would ask PING for a replacement, instead, I see if they wouldn't mind replacing it with the solid black PING Contour headcover.

Honestly the G10 and the V2 are by far the 2 UG-LE-est head covers ever produced!

I cant even stand looking at them. So I put a TM circa 79 japan headcover on it I got off the BST. Infact I cant thinl of one cover thats been out by any OEM that is nice to look at. I know there purpose is to protect the club, buy damn they are all ugly.

My old man has the Diablo, but his cover does not have horns?


Has anyone seen a decent looking headcover yet this year or even last year? All of these things are butt-ugly. I know people can tell what you are hitting by seeing these hideous covers (like guys on the PGA, covers are esy to notice, I understand this), maybe it helps sell clubs because they are so noticable but, COME ON!
