I haven't seen the other threads, but if it is true that Woods left HH, it is very interesting.
I must say, however, I'm slightly doubtful ... Tiger - and the media people at Tiger Inc. - are pretty polished when they make public statements. I can't really see Tiger even thinking he's playing with a "patched together, band-aid swing" ... (indeed, he's said things quite the opposite) ... but even if he was thinking it, it is just not something he'd ever say in public I don't think.
Tiger's had a few coaches over the years. I can see the possibility of a change (indeed, the top golfers do make periodic coaching changes ... not necessarily because anything is wrong, but just because it is good to get a fresh perspective now and then). However, the thought that Tiger would blame a coach for his swing just doesn't seem right. Indeed, at this point, I think HH is used more as a sounding board than anything else.
Still, I'm ready to be proven wrong. The key word being "proven".

Ah, the Sun, home of the Page 3 girls. Right up there with the NYT and WSJ as a source of serious news.
Still, there certainly have been rumors about HH lately. Then again, there were a lot of rumors in 2007 also.
Tiger has seemed a bit out of sorts since he got back. It actually does make sense to switch coaches (something he doesn't do that often). Not sure who he could even consider however ... I doubt he'd go back to Harmon, and most of the other (few) coaches good enough wouldn't seem appropriate. (I can hardly, for instance, see him going to Leadbetter).
Really, IMO, there's a single core issue that has virtually always plagued Tiger ... he's simply terrible off the tee (for someone at that level of golf). I'm sure he's worked at it for countless hours over the years ... he is a real grinder, great at scrambling, and putts under pressure like almost no one that has played the game ...but his driving accuracy number (around 56%) is 148th on tour. And when he misses off the tee, he can often miss by a lot. I can't even imagine how he'd be performing if so many of his second shots weren't miraculous attempts to get out of trouble.
Any coach that could bump up his fairways hit average by even 10% ... well, my goodness.

On another note, do you think Nike will continue its contract with Haney if/when Tiger and Hank cease to have a professional partnership? Those teachers seem to just companies fairly often, (Rick Smith, Jim MacLean, Faldo schools)
Is Tiger's decision contingent on Charles Barkley's results?

Does anyone think they won't part company at some stage in Tiger's career? For sure, it will happen...
Did they have a bust-up on the range at ANGC? YES
Has Tiger been quoted as saying he's playing with a 'Band Aid Swing' YES
Is his swing with the driver all over the place? YES
Is he spraying the ball across 2 fairways at times with the big stick? YES
Are many guys on tour saying it's 'when' not 'if' YES
Is his driving worthy of the world's #1 player? Duhhhh!
They will undoubtedly split. Why is it so hard for some to take in?
There's a very good chance that it's already happened

If you doubt the honest nature of the paper why not log on to www.thesun.co.uk/superbabes
or read their 'Pope signs up to Facebook' article.
Both truly insightful pieces of journalism that will leave you in no doubt whatsoever about the credibility of the source of the Haney article.
I've also heard rumours that the replacement he will be teaming up with is none other than Setanta Sports' very own Scott Cranfield.

Just one more thing to mention since you are so eager to point out how terribly TW is hitting it......TW is leading the tour in scoring average by something like half a stroke. He really is terrible!

Tiger's swing and scoring average really aren't all that related. The man is a scoring genius - he finds ways to get the ball in the hole. His swing, at Quail Hollow and Sawgrass, was terrible. He'll be the first to tell you that.
I'm not sure if it's Hank's fault, players just go through funks in their swings - it's inevitable.
His funk is consisting of all top tens and a win, though....

Absolutely. He looks like he's going to shoot 75, but through unreal scrambling, persistence, determination and (usually) some clutch putts, somehow turns it into 69.
His scoring is good, yes, but his swing, at times, looks as bad as it's ever been. Anyone who knows anything about the golf swing can see this. In fact, most 7 year olds can
Peter Jacobsen has labelled him 'The second coming of Severiano Ballesteros'. This is unkind to Seve, as many of his drives into the rough were deliberate to give himself a better angle in to the flag. Tiger, on the other hand, just doesn't have a clue where the ball is going off the tee.

i most certainly did not hear that. i'm sure scott cranfield is a very good coach but by working for setanta, in my view, he loses all credibility and becomes an object of humour

Didn't he sue and win against them for publishing photoshopped pictures of his wife... If so seems highly doubtful they are an accurate source of data.
Maybe Barkley is ruining Hanks teaching skills.. Instead of fixing Barkley, he is now teaching Charles swing to his pupils..
