I have said for a long time now that what we will try to do is get books from the publisher, sold by the publisher, to golfwrx guys.  We might be able to get a slight break on the price, which would make up for any shipping costs incurred.

As of right now, we are talking about maybe 80 or so books, not 500.  We won't be able to do this with 500.

I'm not sure there is anything to panic about just yet.

I would be willing to buy the book from Amazon, even if it was a little more money, to help the sales ranking and visibility of the book.  I'm sure many people here feel the same way.

It is very unlikely that a golf book is going to make the front page of amazon.com.  I hope it happens, but unless Oprah switches to a Modern Rotary action, we might be out of luck.

Guys, let's not put the horse before the cart and get all worried about these kinds of things.  All will be well.  By requesting a copy here, you are informing a potential publisher that you are interested in the book. I will show this thread to them to demonstrate the books viability and audience.  If it works out that we can get books for Wrx guys at a discount, we will.

But if people get all worried and stop expressing interest, then we might never get the thing published in the first place.  I know this wasn't MWLs point in his post, but we don't want anything muddying the waters here.

Rob, thanks for the clarification! I now understand the list thing. That said, please put me on the list and take your time to make the book right, hockey season is starting soon, the next golf season is in a couple of months anyways (please note, that I'm writing that to convince myself that the golf off seeason won't be as long and pain full as last year. The Habs golf season started before mine... )
