I just graduated college in December and before I go to law school I am going to England, Scotland, Ireland, France and Italy for a month and a half. I'm leaving June 13th and will return to the states July 20th. I was wondering if anyone had any course recomendations or would maybe like to meet up and play a round then hit the pub. I'm going by myself on a tour that I can do what I want but have to be in certain places on certain days to catch the bus to the next destination. I have a couple of questions to those who will help....

1) I don't want to bring my clubs.....do the courses have rentals?
2) What is the weather like....not temperature but wind, rain and other elements
3) What does it cost to play at most courses
4) Is it absolutely neccesary to make tee times or would it be alright to just show up and play

I'll think of some more, but these are just some basic questions. I'm hopeing I can make some connections before I leave so I can have some idea of where I'm going to play and find some fellow wrxers to show a guy a good time. Thanks all,

Drew

Ballybunion, Carnoustie, St. Andrews (where I'll be heading for sure)....I'm in your exact same circumstance (except graduated last May) and plan on doing the exact same trip next summer. Best of luck with everything and I may even need to correspond with you upon your return to see how it went and what I need to do to prepare!
