Did anyone notice him chewing out his caddy? Na seems like a real jerk and a slow player as well.

I don't think that he was chewing him out. I listened to the audio and he was shocked that he hit it so far. He told his caddy that he tried to take some off of it and it still went that far.

wow, then we might not see too many players left to watch on PGA if they boot him for that.

Let's boot Sergio for whining, Tiger for hitting clubs on the ground, Camilo for throwing his club into water, AK for throwing his ball into water, Pat for bresking his club.

Wow. Guys showing emotion. Phil didn't want to talk after today's round and guys get frustrated. Let's just ask permission for these guys to be human.

I wasn't saying they should boot him because he is a slow player! I was just saying he plays like Ben Crane. Find some audio on the full conversation he had with the caddy

I agree, players often show emotions. We all know how golf can get frustrating.

Even Na chew his caddy out, I do not agree he should be booted like what the OP says.

let me cahnge the wording in the original statement, because I did not mean they should boot him. I meant that he was a slow player as well

That shot should have never stayed on the island. They need to cut that rough down in the back, because a terrible shot like that should never be rewarded like that. The Golf God's got their redemption with the 3 putt.

He had every right to be upset with the caddy. He was two clubs off on that shot!

I met Kevin Na at the Honda Classic a few years ago and he is a super nice guy. He plays with a lot of emotion and considering where he is in The Players Championship he may have over-reacted.

isn't the player ultimately responsible for picking the club?

i think Na is just a very emotional player, which i have absolutely no problem with. some players are emotional, others are more stoic and internalize their emotions... just different on course personalities.

and i don't think he was chewing out his caddy either. i think from the audio he was just expressing his disbelief that his shot went as far as it did. it's not like he was dropping expletives or anything like that... now that would have been chewing out his caddy.

on the other hand... as far as his S-L-O-W play goes... if i was playing for as much scratch as those guys, i'd probably take my time on each shot too... but unless you are playing for a million bucks... hurry up man!

I thought I heard somewhere that Na and his relationship with caddies doesn't last real long because hes a pain to caddie for. Any truth to that?

Na was just shocked that his wedge that far even though he took something off. He yelled "Can you believe it went that far?" He was NOT chewing out his caddie. I thought Kevin took it very well during his mini meltdown but came right back with birdie on 15 and eagle on 16.

Also, I saw Kevin Na at TPC Valencia on a few occasions and he seems like a nice guy. On one occasion while he was practicing putting some young kids gathered around and started asking him questions which he gladly obliged.

Man so many people just ready to jump in with negative crap. This stuff gets old fast.

HMMMM...

Triple bogied the 13th...

Just went birdie...eagle...15 & 16...

Back into 2nd place...

Thousands watching...

ISLAND GREEN...

I know I've NEVER been known to over react before...

I am quite shocked at Mr. Na's reaction!

It was kind of fun to see his reaction though! It's amazing what this game can throw at you!
