Hi guys, I am new to the site and happy to say hello to all. My name is Justin, I am nineteen years old and a collegiate player. I play mp-60 irons with s300s now, but I am looking to upgrade over the summer to somefresh new sticks. I have not ben able to properly adapt the mp-60s. I hit the ball a pretty long way. Average around 280-290 off the tee with a smooth swing. Here are my top three, I do not work the ball much and do not want a blade design because of adverse condition playability. O, and im left handed (cool)

1. Taylormade Tour preferred
2. Nike forged split cavity
3. mizuno mp-52

Let me know what you guys think, and other suggestions welcome! thanks alot guys, have a great day

All three choices are top-notched sticks - you can't go wrong with any of them. I comes down to what appeals best to you of the 3.

I love the looks of the nike's, and the mizunos...the tour preferred irons are great, aside from the party on the back..
I want a players iron that is a little more forgiving and straight than my mp-60s....
although i am a pretty good ballstriker, i always play in wind, rain, cold etc- so forgiveness is huge. please comment

Ping s58s have been mentioned- Thank you

A friend had a new set of Mizuno MP-52's in S-300 at the range about a month ago. I hit a couple of the irons, and was pleasantly surprised with how easy they were to hit. I wish I could tell you that I hit more than a few shots with them, but that wasn't the case. Mizuno makes great irons. I would recommend you demo some if you can. Good luck!

IMO, find a good club fitter at one of the large golf shops that have all of the clubs you're potentially thinking about. You will find that some of the ones you may have romanticized over, really feel pretty poor in your hands. That's not to say they wouldn't be perfect in someone else's. Make sure that you have the correct lie angle for the clubs you choose. It does make a huge difference, particularly if you're taking the game a serious as you appear to be. Personally, I just went through a period where I thought I wanted to replace my old PING G2's. After trying out all the top brands, (including the latest PINGS) I found that I liked mine the best, but my swing had flattened out a bit, so I had the lie angle adjusted. New grips, new lie angle = new clubs! I love em! Play well!

I have the MP 52s and i love them. They are very easy to work. and if you miss hit it just a little you can still have a good result. They also clean off really nice so i would choose them if you are still trying to make a decision.

All 3 are good choices.

But IMO the MP-52 is the best blend of performance, feel and forgiveness.
