Does anybody play in the Golf Galaxy Golf Tour near them?

I thought of looking into and playing. Reason being, I am new to the area (Schaumburg, IL) and it might be a good way to find some golf buddies.

My job moved me up here in Jan and I do not know anybody in the area.

I play in the Vegas tour. We have 2-man best ball on Saturday's and individual stroke play on Wednesday's, the tour is pretty good simply because our tour director is top notch. I played with him at the last tournament and we had a blast. Best part is that the tour is you can join for free whereas on the Golf Channel tour you have to pay $199 just to join then the tournaments are priced much higher for the same courses compared to Golf Galaxy tour events.

I've met some fine people on the events and you should have no problem making friends.
