Final hole, if he makes quadruple bogey he loses, triple and he is in a playoff. So what does he do? In typical Van de Velde fashion, makes a solid double to finish strong today on the European Tour. Way to play Jean...

A win is a win. Congrats to JVdV because for a long while there it looked like his golf career was over. I like to see comeback stories.

Agreed - good to see Jean win again, a year ago he could barely walk due to a knee injury. He is a quality player, sadly most people will only remember him for the last hole at Carnoustie '99.

Yea it is good to see Jean win again as i can remember watching him waste away at the last in the open. Good to see him back.

Good for him, I remember hearing that he had a really bad knee injury that made him want to retire...Glad to hear that he was able to get a victory and start over again...
