Today a guy we played with used a ball marker that had four arrows on it marked with 1, 2, 3, 4.
He said it was called a Spin Marker. After tossing it each arrow pointed to a one of us and the order was set.

Anybody have one of these? Do you use it; seems to me a novelty for a little while then you wont use it again.

If you have one, please post where you got it and how much it was.

Thanks

We just throw a tee in the air and the rest of the order is clock wise. Sounds like a high tech expensive way to make simple actions hard.

here on the courses there is a cup sitting on a shaft which holds four metal straws that have 1,2,3,4 rings carved at the bottom end so no-one sees what number they are picking..

With my buddies, we bounce the tee off the sole of a driver and determine who hits first.

When you are playing certain games like Hawk and Eagle you have to have a set order of play and this is the easiest way to make it fair and impartial.

At my course we have 1 player collect a ball from all of us and then toss them all at once towards the tee marker. Order of play is determined by who gets closest, then second closest and so on.

I understand for that but I've seen people do this for just a regular round of golf

Ahh. Wow. That's the only way we play is if there is money on the line and some form of game. LOL

For just a regular practice round, I say just whoever is ready first, they hit, and then afterwards it is based on the score the previous hole
