I have never stayed in the hotel, but have played the course several times. It was in great shape last year and I would expect it to be in better shape this year. The hotel looks very comfortable and seems to have numerous things to do besides golf. I would highly recommend for a relaxing weekend. I would also check their website for weekend specials, we found the golf to be somewhat expensive, but I think the course is worth the money.

The price of the golf is nothing compared with the price of the lodging. Fantastic course & great hotel. There are a couple of restaurants with good food. Brunch buffet was one of the best I have ever seen. Great service too.
As for the golf, the greens are excellent and the layout is very classic, links like in that you only return to the clubhouse on 18. I hope to play again this summer.
I highly recommend it.

haven't played there yet, can't wait to get down there. its about an hour south of me. checked a few different sites and reasonable tee times can be had. i saw a tee time there about three weeks ago for $55.00. I would pay whatever though to get on this course with it's awesome history and the great designers of the past.

hey cool, I live in Altoona this course is only about 40 minutes south of me, I have never played as it is too expensive. I play Sylvan Hills because its cheap to get out there and get some swings in, only thing is everyone that plays there are pretty much hackers so it can be a pretty slow round on a nice Saturday.. kcallel you must live close we should get together and play.

I am the Head Golf Professional at the Omni Bedford Springs Old Course. The course is in fantastic condition! GolfWeek Magazine named us the #1 Classic Playable Course in Pennsylvania. We are proud of the Tillinghast/Ross pedigree and hope to have all of you, and your friends, out to the course in 2009.
All the best,
