I just responded to another topic that got me thinking why do guys have such a hard time coordinating what they wear on the course. I am no fashion expert and I know this, befor I got married it was kaki short navy shirt no sense of style and this is why my wife pics the majority of what I wear on the course today. She give me a few rules of fashion to follow and it all falls into place from there. Always match belt with shoes, always wear a belt and always tuck your short on the course. Coordinate head to toe white shoes white belt wite hat..etc. The best advise I can give is get your wife/girlfriend involved.

The question asked in a post was what hat to wear with a pink shirt. I recently took a trip to AZ with some bussies to play golf. My wife bought me a pair of white/ping/carolina blue plaid shorts she pair those with a pink Ralph lauren Polo golf shirt, white shoes, white belt and white hat. I took alot of ribbing for waering a pink shirt, I have to admit not my favorite color either, but it looked good. Two differnet cart gals commented on how nice I looked, when a playing buddy took a shot at it she said he looked like he was going to a all you can eat $5.95 buffet.
I never have a problem playing golf, I show my wife the latest combo she bought me on my way out the door to the course, she is happy and I am happy all is good.

Give it a try you will no longer need to make excuses to play golf, she will send you out the door all proud and you will look good.

Outstanding post. Your spouse/girlfriend will then make sure you look the part by buying you new stuff to wear. My wife says, "You might shoot 90, but at least you will look good!"

I am pretty good at putting stuff together (no... not gay, not my cup of tea). thats why I love the white shoes with black accents. I can wear a black or white belt and then just match the hat, while keeping the same shoes. I like wearing greys, black and white pants and then I just put on a polo that goes nicely. I also wear pink and baby blue polos, no problem with that. For playing always tuck in shirt

For the range is mostly kakis with something untucked...

Peace

for whatever reason i never match my hat with belt or shoes... i have three hats in rotation (blk titleist mesh cap, white titleist mesh cap, navy dri fit nike uconn hat) I always wear white shoes and always white belt, polo color depends on what's clean and will go with my pants... i won't wear black pants with black shirt (too much black). I consider myself kind of fashion savvy.

My girlfriend LOVESSSS picking the craziest color shirts... she loves bright neon type colors and I am a VERY simple man, blue, navy, carolina blue, reds, white, black. Just bought green stripe ashford shirt but sometimes the wife's color selection is too loud for my style.

Would definitely agree that wife/GF should at least have some input on what you wear, dress to impress gentlemen.

You know I never know where my wife buys half the stuff she brings home for me. But she get's some amayzing deals. I just got about four solid color Adidas shirts Carolina blue, White, Black and a Lime green all in the adidas tech fiber or what ever they call it she said she paid like $18.00 each for them. She bought two Polo golf shirts a while back I had paid $89.00 for the one I picked up, then she got the same shirt in two diffferent colors for $40.00ea. Greg norman shorts $24.00 all top stuff. The ladies just know how to shop.

You are lucky to have natural sense of style, I don't but I am learning. I like the grey/charcole pants too, Colorado can have quick changes in temps during early spring rounds. I wear pants here up through May/June. The grey looks great with a argyle sweater and provides a very classy look. I can go to a business meeting and then play 18 in the same clothes. I am looking forward to the New FJ release I think the white/black wingtips will be a great spring/fall shoe for when I am wearing pants.
