I have been looking for shorts for this summer. I have noticed a lot of stores having shorter shorts on display. Is this the new trend?

Everything new/trendy I see from Oakley, Nike, Puma, Adidas etc. are all 10" to 12" inseams. Longer is/has been in since last year.

Of course those that want the 70's & 80's look also have plenty to choose from. Just look in your Dad's dresser. ;-)

Depends on the day but a pleat is more comfortable.

Length: I prefer at the kneecap or JUST below the knee. It depends on what's available when I am shopping. I do not do above the knee. They'll likely be just above the knee when I am sitting down, and that's just fine.

I go flat front. I don't think I own a pair of shorts or pants with pleats. I just don't like the look.

However, wear whatever is comfortable for you. Because in the end, your own comfort is what matters most.

I wear pants when playing in NJ. Mostly because of the flies. I really don't notice being that much hotter with the materials used in golf pants. When in Ohio, I wear shorts more often mostly due to the courses being more laid back.

What is "proper" is what you like. Other's should mind their own business.

Before you know it we will be right back to wearing the shorts we were wearing in '85. John Stockton will be dressed to impress when he hits the links.

what about those euro hybrid shorts/pants that fall about upper 1/3 of the calf.

when does a short become a pant, and a pant become a short?

the philosophy...

For me just above the knee.

The Euro hybrid shot/pant must be prohibited, on golf courses but not only. :hunter:
