Bag
My bag is a red, grey, and black Sun Mountain Four 5.  I had some Jan Craig headcovers made in cardinal/grey/black that match the bag perfectly.

Driver
I play a 9* Ping Rapture V2 driver with a Diamana Blueboard stiff shaft.

Irons
I play yellow dot (1.5* upright) Ping G15 irons from my 4 iron - sand wedge. My irons all have DGSL S300 shafts.  My 4-UW are D2 swingweight, which is heavier than Ping's standard D1.  My sand wedge is D4.  My lob wedge is a Titleist Vokey spin milled black nickel 58.08 DG stiff.  I have a matching G15 3 iron and LW, but they have been replaced in the bag with a G25 20* hybrid and Vokey Spin Milled lob wedge.

Hybrid
This is a standard 20* Ping G25 hybrid with stiff TFC189 stock shaft.  I've never been a fan of hybrids until the Ping G25 came out.  I've had a few in the bag for short periods of time, but I've always been more consistent with a three iron than a hybrid.  The G25 is really forgiving and easy to hit.  After only a few rounds, I trust this club more than my 3 iron.

Scotty Cameron Newport Button Back Putter
I've had my Scotty Cameron Button Back in my bag for the better part of three seasons.  I love the look and feel of this putter.

Ping G15 LW with tour grind
I love the G15 SW, so I purchased a matching LW to complete the set.  After a head to head comparison with my 58* Vokey LW, the Vokey was the hands down winner.  The Vokey provides more versatility, spin, and touch for delicate shots around the green, which is the only way I use my LW.  The picture shows a good view of Ping's tour grind.

I actually recently traded my beautiful Redwood Anser for the Squareback.  The Redwood is a great putter, but I have learned that I absolutely need a face balanced putter to putt my best.  I use a SBST stroke and have finally figured out I do much better with a face balanced putter.  I'm sure there are some good face balanced options from Ping, but I am really starting to putt well with the Squareback.

As you can see I am definately a big Ping fan. I have been playing the I5 irons, G5 driver, and iwedges since 2007.

I made a few adjustments to the bag for 2009. I finally ended my love/hate relationship with my TM Rescue Dual hybrid and opted for a G5 3 iron. I have hit some beautiful hybrid shots and some absolutely terrible hybrid shots. I find the G5 3 iron MUCH more consistent for me. I am a high ball hitter and have absolutely no problem getting my long iron shots off the ground. Dropping the hybrid left a little bit of a gap between my 3 iron and G5 3-wood, so I just picked up a G5 5-wood to round out my set. I have 15 clubs shown in my bag. Depending on the course I am playing, I will either drop the 5-wood or the 58* lob wedge. I also switched putters for 2009. Last year I committed to a SBST stroke and my putting as improved dramatically. After a lot of trial and error I found that I really NEED a face balanced putter. Last year I used a TM Spider and had great results. I really liked the look and feel of the Studio Select line so I traded my last non-faced balanced putter (beatiful Ping Redwood Anser) for it and it has been great so far.

Gotta give it up, PK.  Awesome bag.  I'm a big fan of the PING, and you put it all together really well.  Obviously, as has been pointed out, the Cameron looks WAY out of place, but the Select line is just an incredible series of putters.  Hopefully the brand loyalty pays off!  Thanks for sharing. :good:

I really like the I5s and the IWedges.  One question though, how do you hit the IWedge out of a bunker?  I have very little luck with mine.  Luckily, there really isn't that much sand here in Maryland.  Excellent setup though.  The putter looks weird, but if it goes in, then keep it in there.

First off, I'm not a great sand shot player, but I would have to say the sand performance is one of the strengths of the iWedge.  When I ordered my set, I specified a D6 swingweight for my iWedges and I think that helps.  I know the putter looks weird in my bag, not nearly as nice LOOKING as the Redwood Anser I had, but have to go with what works.

Thanks for the compliments guys.  I really like having matching driver/3-wood/5-wood and close matching irons from 3i to lw (both heads & shafts).  In my opinion, this is the absolute best way to ensure consistent distance gaps between clubs.

Yeah, I explained that in the post.  Depending on course conditions I either drop the 5 wood or the lob wedge.  Most of the time I drop the 5 wood.

Nice tackle, mate.

The headcovers cut a rather nice dash, too. Very fetching.

Changes to the bag for 2010:
1) Swapped Ping G5 driver with Aldila shaft to Ping Rapture V2 w/ Diamana BB.  The Rapture V2 is longer and I don't tend to get the hooks with it like I sometimes did with my G5.  Shaft seems perfect for me.
2) Swapped TaylorMade Spider out for Scotty Cameron Button Back Newport.  This isn't the first time I've tried swapping out my Spider.  The feel of the Button Back is great and it is absolutely gorgeous to look at.
3) Swapped out my 54* Ping Iwedge for a 56* Scratch JLM PDG wedge.  WOW.  When I originally got my I5s I bought a pair of Iwedges to compliment them.  I was playing a 46* I5 PW, a 50* I5 GW, a 54* Iwedge SW, and a 58* Iwedge LW.  I dropped the lob wedge last year to make room for a 5 wood.  I have not been able to open up the Iwedge very well and since I no longer carry the LW, I wanted a higher lofted SW.  I'm not a great wedge player around the greens.  I am a text book "slider/sweeper".  I have seen a lot about Scratch wedges here and it I like the way you can get a grind suited to your swing.   I picked up a 56* JLM PDG wedge and all I can say is WOW!  It looks like I actually know what I am doing around the greens now.   I can hit those delicate pitch shots now without worrying about the club head bouncing into the ball.  The spin is way more with the Scratch than what my Iwedges gave.  I am not as confortable with the scratch wedge 40-90 yards out yet, but hopefully that will come with practice.

I am pretty excited that each of these changes will actually help my scores this year and I hope to not introduce any more changes to the bag for the rest of the year.  Pictures with the new driver, putter, and wedge will be up shortly.

Changes to the bag for 2011:
1) Dropping Ping G5 3-iron and TaylorMade V-Steel 5 wood and replacing with a 20* Adams Pro Gold hybrid with Matrix Altus stiff shaft.  I've wanted to give hybrids another shot, so I'll see if the Pro Gold is more reliable than my 3-iron.  The main reason for the change is so by taking my 3 iron & 5 wood out of the bag, I can make room for another wedge.  I'll have to see how it plays out, I may have to revert back to my 2010 setup if I don't see improvement.
2) Swapped my 56* Scatch JLM PDG wedge with two Vokey black nickel spin milled wedges (54* and 58*) with Dynamic Gold shafts.
3) After searching several years, I finally found a Purdue Boilermakers Ping Hoofer 2 bag.  This bag will replace my Hoover Vantage.  Love the Vantage, but the Purdue Hoofer bag has been my dream bag.

Very happy with the rest of my bag (Rapture V2 driver, V-Steel 3 wood, Ping I5s, and Newport Button Back).

Pictures of the 2011 setup will be posted soon.

I love the Hoofer 2. I had the same bag in the same color (minus the Purdue logos) back in high school.
