I figure this forum is my best shot at finding out this bit of information. Does anyone have any idea the brand or maker of the croc pattern belt that Phil has been wearing lately? I really like it but upon attempt of researching it, I came away with no results. Thanks! Also I apologize if this is in the wrong section of the forum.

I haven't seen it but its probably a House of Fleming belt. Pics would help. You can buy those lizard belts at Bettinardi LTD.

Yep, a lot of the tour players wear House of Fleming belts. They look awesome. The only downside is the price. They can easily run $500.

According to a Golf Digest, the belt is $1300. No matter how rich I was, I would NEVER spend that kinda money on a belt.

Well I pay $50 for a belt and make 1/1000 the amount of money he does. I guess I wouldn't mind spending 26x more on my belt. Especially if I'm on TV that much.

Most 42" belts run about $1500. This is normal for that much animal skin....

It is House of Fleming. They are located here in Atlanta and make belts for many PGA players: Garcia, Clarke, Watson and Mickelson. I've been to their shop and the belts they have are amazing. The buckles are crazy expensive as well. I have a couple belts (none $1500) and they are great belts. Will last forever I hope.

Phil's buckle is hand made from sterling silver. I bet a big chunk of the $1300 went towards the buckle.

Just to let you guys know....I work closely with Greg Norman and I was just at the PGA Show hanging out in their booth (mostly because they just debuted one of my socks as the new Greg Norman sock) and they have a belt that will be hitting retail stores this fall that is a wide strap (similar to Puma or Adidas) croc embossed belt (croc look without all the costs) and a nice silver plaque buckle. The belt will cost ~$50.

I am telling you guys, this is the closest thing I've seen to what the guys are wearing on tour. The only negative is they didn't make one in white....only black and brown for the fall....luckily, I am going to be doing some things with the distributor of these belts, so he is hooking me up for free! Sorry...had to throw that in there. If I can get a pic, I'll post it.

Do you think he pays retail price for his belts? I wouldn't be shocked if he has something worked out with them. $1300 for a belt is pretty outrageous but as noted the buckle I'm sure is the bulk of the price. Croc is nice, I think Ostrich is the best looking, but I'll take the immitation product, I don't need to slay a feathered biped to hold my pants up.

I was at HOF this past saturday, and yes his belt is House of Fleming. His gator shoes are also HOF. They had a pair of his shoes on display. I've got a good many of these belts and they are 100% top notch. I'll never wear anything else.

I wish I were only a mile from peach tree road. It was a 4 1/2 drive for me. But worth it.

Phil's belts are an inch and 3/4 as well that also drives up the price. They are sweet though. That's one of the main reasons I don't go into the store. Once I'm in there Nancy knows that I won't be able to leave without buying something. I do love that place!

If it is any help and you are not looking to shell out $1300 on a belt you should check out www.elliotrhodes.com - we are a UK based custom beltmaker with 2 stores in London and work with Miguel Angel Jimenez, Retief Goosen, Oliver Wilson, David Lynn, Melissa Reid etc...with belts. Miguel was as ever wearing a cool one winning in Dubai yesterday...Honestly we carry probably the largest selection of belts and buckles in the world and you are looking at $150 - 200 a belt for a high quality full grain leather belt made in Spain or Italy. Hope this helps. Justin

Just to add my custom House of Fleming belts were only $65 a piece for the straps. If you aren't going for any exotic leather they are VERY reasonable and totally customizable.

I agree a custom made Italian leather strap for $65 is a great deal

I agree, these belts that are $65 wear just as good as anything. I've got 3 or 4 HOF of the leather straps, they are made just as good as my gator ones.

Hey Chili, will Norman have an option for this belt without the buckle? Thanks.

They are not planning on it....I will have a pic later this week. They are in the middle of their product shoots right now.

I was there this past Saturday too and to no I was not looking at the buckles...I did however see some of the coolest skins and I also own a few HOF belts and they are the best they wear extremely well and they look good too most of them are not overpriced compared to high end belts but made with better quality and Jimmy is one of the best sales reps I have ever dealt with...

Those are nice belts but don't hold a candle to El Paso Saddlery or Galco. I want a belt stiff enough to hold up my pant and a holster.
