Is is just me or was it so nice and refreshing to hear Paul back in the booth again? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for women's rights and blah, blah, blah, yada, yada, yada but it was nice having someone in the booth who knew what heck they were talking about and not just talking to be talking. Kelly has a great head for trivia and history and what-not, but she just doesn't do it for me like Paul and Nick.

Zinger is THE best....best Coach....best announcer and a REALLY really nice guy (I met him and played a game with him in vegas for quite a few hours)....genuinely nice guy and I also really enjoy the faldo/zinger mix
I was out at the Accenture today and really only one thing struck me in all the people/player watching.....Kelly is WAAAAAAY better looking in person...WAY....
I came home and told my wife this, and she says "the chick that sounds like a dude is good looking?....how wierd"...I love my wife

You are comparing apples to oranges. Kelly Tilghman (although she was a college player at Duke) is the "anchor" and is primarily responsible for promoting the Golf Channel and the sponsors) and handling other announcer duties as her producer and director dictate. If you want to make comparisons, make them to Brian Hammons, Rich Lerner, Jim Nance or other smooth talking-heads with good haircuts. Azinger, Faldo, Miller and the other golf pros are supposed to be "expert analysts" adding their "expert" "insight" into the game, the PGA Tour, and the pros' swings, tactics and strategy.
There may be plenty to criticize (and God knows, there is plenty of deserved criticism of the GC; its programing and "talent" on Golfwrx), but the roles of the announcers who are more "professional journalists" is supposed to be different than those who are professional golfers. For example, I'd like to think I can hold a professional journalist to a higher standard when it comes to speaking English properly.
Now, go to it. Let's hit the GC's "ESPNification", infomercials, incessant hype and product placements, incompetent talent, production values, etc.!

I like Azinger alot but sometimes I just don't get some things he says. For example yesterday Andy North says that VJ puts new wedges in his bag every week. Faldo and Zinger act surprised. Zinger says wOw, hats off to the welder that makes them. Faldo can't leave it alone and says the welder? You me the guy who does alll the gringing? When have you ever had your wedges welded?
Also Zinger comments on that Woods has the best caddy while Woods is eating a snack while waiting on the tee. Zinger says I only had one caddy that had food in my bag for me. Faldo says Did you ever ask any of them to put food in your bag? Very funny.

You left out the best part! The punch came when Faldo said, "With that grip, it would be a welder." I thought that Faldo seemed a little tense and was on edge when Azinger was in the booth. I was waiting for Zinger to bring up something about the Ryder Cup but he's got too much class to do that. Not sure about Faldo though.
