Anyone has any idea what putter was Ernie using? Doesn't seem to be a mallet anymore.

That was great watching Tiger play. But man is it going to be an awful lot of Tiger for the next few days...Tomorrow should be more of him I think...lets hope with less matches we get to see footage of other matches tomorrow. Glad he is back though.

As for the other players, who played well? Scores don't entirely sum it up in matchplay and I didn't get to see anyone but the few TGC covered. Fill me in on your thoughts for tomorrows matches as I'll be in the hospital all day missing out on the coverage!

Someone mentioned Ross Fisher...this guy went on a tear last summer on the European Tour. He won a couple events and finished Top 10 for a consectutive number on Tourney's.

I"m amazed that McIlroy hardly got any coverage. Why not show this kid everyone has compared to Tiger. Give the Cabbagepatch Kid some air time.

I really liked the Mahan win over Weir--that's a $$$ win in a President's Cup year. Could go a long way in terms of getting Mahan a spot on the team. I guarantee you Freddie took note of it.

Yeah the Tiger coverage was a tad over the top, but after watching 9 months of non-Tiger golf, I'm ok with it.

Camilo Villegas is in the fire now, 3 up thru 4 against Jimenez! Mickelson is 1 up after 8 holes against Zach Johnson. AK and Oliver Wilson are AS thru 6.

Really interesting! :clapping:

I think drilling one straight into the media would fix that for the rest of the tourney... :scare2:

Mine is being super choppy now...

How come McIlroy and Mahan halved the first. I saw Rory go wide on approach and then duff his chip. Did Hunter make a mistake too?

Katayama is the story of the tourney thus far. Beat Immelman yesterday and is 2 up on Ogilvy.

Always like to watch him play. Also love the fact that he's usually got a bunch of hybrids in the bag. Watch for him he makes it to Augusta. Always plays well there.

Villegas absolutely demolishes another opponent. Should be interesting if he and Tiger meet.

Great performance by Ollie Wilson. A cracking win against a big gun. :victory:

Fingers crossed for another Notts County Team lad on that 19th hole...

A breath of fresh air that NBC is obviously authoring the coverage today. It has kept The "Golf" Channel from turning this into the 'Tiger Invitational'. Good to see a lot of the other matches.

3 down with 5 to go. This is where we say Tiger's in trouble and then...he turns it around.

We'll see...

Tiger is done...as I said yesterday he wouldn't continue to get away with "scuffy" play. Big props to Tim. I'm a Tiger fan, but like Tim a lot since he went to my alma mater and is a gritty tough competitor. Hard to believe he as never won a PGA tour event.

Tim Clark is the man today. Nice!

I didn't expect Tiger to play this bad. I can't help but think where is "better short game" went...

EDIT: I'll eat crow.
