Has anyone played this course yet? Is is walkable? I normally cart a course, but after playing Chambers bay last year I prefer to walk because it allows me to really enjoy the game and scenery. I am playing there next thurs after my BAR exam tues & wed. What better way to relieve some stress. lets hope it doesnt snow!
Cheers, any feedback your experience would be appreciated

Amazing course and great value for the $ vs. others in the area. This one goes up against any private course in the area and is challenging - target golf at its best. Not to mention the added bonus of walking onto the ferry with your clubs for $6 and enjoying the views.

I played it once and will definitely be going back!
The course is tough with lots of lateral hazards. I spent a lot of time looking for lost balls so didn't really enjoy the scenery to its fullest!
The par 3's mostly play pretty long (all 3-5 iron for me) and the par 5's are really gorgeous with some risk-reward shots available.
The greens are phenomenal IMO, slippery and fun to putt on.
I am a walker and would not discourage anyone from walking the course. Definitely manageable though there are some hills especially on the back 9.
After the round me and my buddy played a friendly match for beers on the practice green (which is very hilly and exaggerated) which turned into about 3 hours of chipping, putting, and flop shots for beers. I think we had more fun on the practice green after the round than we did playing the course!

Here is my review of Whitehorse
1) Greens were small which was great and challenging (even though i missed lots).
2) Lots of sand
3) Greens were in fantastic shape, firm, true roll and quick!
4) Short course (driving then 9 iron or less into the greens)
5) Layout was ok, because some holes were really short it wasn't as fun.
6) Fairways were nice and tight on some holes
Overall I would play there again if I happened to be in the area or had a free round from Puetz. I live in Seattle and its not a course that I dying to go back and play. Memorable though.
I walked the course just fine. Not even a challenge compared to somewhere like Echo falls. My dad who hadn't walked in YEARS walked with me and suprised himself. Some people may discourage you but if you get a bag cart its really a great walk.

I think this would be a great course... if you know where you are going. Very hard course to play for the first time, with small, well-guarded greens and lots of hazards or sand traps. They only have yardages in 50 yard increments, no cart GPS or even yardage books, and there are a lot of blindish tee shots to landing areas where you have no clue what you are working with. If you have a Sky Caddie or something similar it would be fine, but going out there for the first time, playing solo, I was lost. I'll probably go back, though, maybe my experience will improve.
