Very nice looking clubs. What's the difference between S9-1 with weight port and one without the weight port? What would the S9-1 w/weight port be called?
I know they are under the same umbrella as Titleist and there are the Vokey wedges, but I would like to see them come back out with their own wedges like the Trusty Rusty. Those were some bad a$$ wedges.
Wow I do like the S9-1 Pro D and pro fairway woods.
I could definitely see those going in my bag this year.
I have been looking for a good fairway wood as I did not carry one last year.
I was going to pick up a speed pro 13* but I think I am going to have to wait on these.
If anyone has hit either one any feedback would be appreciated.
I am seriously considering going with an all Cobra bag but I don't know if I can get a set of the Pro MBs to
compare to my MP29s that I have had for years.
Very excited to try the S9-1 Pro S and S9-1 fairways. They look absolutely great. In fact, I've not seen a better looking club for some time. Looks like you get a 'real' X-Con 6 for a stock shaft as well, which is great.

cobra states on their web site that it is a "made for" X-con. Upcharge for the real thing is around $250.

The one without the port is the F model. It also has a Ti top on it. Not Carbon like the D or S.

This showed up in the mailbox about an hour after i posted. The real Xcon is $200 upcharge.
Cobra seem to market these clubs based on swing/ball speed, as they have done previously.
I am right on the border for the Pro S (103 - 105 SS). Presumably all the clubs are at the max COR of .83, so what would I lose anything going with this model rather than the Pro F, designed for slightly slower swing speeds?

Besides head shape, you'll probably see lower spin and a square face going with the Pro model.
So, the Cobra Ozik Xcon6 that comes stock in the Pro series is not a "real" Xcon? For clarification, why is the price of the Pro series drivers higher (than the other S9-1 line) if their stock shaft is indeed only a watered down version of the Xcon? Thanks

I don't think the price is that unreasonable. If you buy an FT-9 with the real X-con shaft your looking at around $700+. The 909D Comp is $499 with a "made for" Ozik shaft, and the Cobra is basically the same technology. Presumably the made for X-con shares the same X-con technology as the real thing, probably just softened up to fit more people.

It's been like this in previous years as well. I'm assuming its the composite crown on the Pro this year that allows them to charge $100 more than the F Speed.
And Cobra custom dept only has R,S,X in the X-Con 6 and 7. No SG which was a tad dissapointing. So 1/2" tipped stiff is what went in.
Ok. Not trying to be rude or funny with me askin' this, but where are the irons? I mean drivers are cool and all, but I wanna' see some irons and wedges! This isn't the only thread for Cobra is it?
For those that have hit the S9-1 Pro D, how does it compare to the 909 D3? I love the looks of both of these drivers, and I am sure they both perform great.
From my understanding, it seems that the D3 would be a little lower launch and spin, but just curious if anybody else could describe a head to head comparison of the two. Thanks

I tell you what, I just bought a combo set of the Pro-MB and Pro-CB and they are the best I've ever hit! And I've played and demo'ed a lot of irons. Nice low, piercing trajecxtory (I struggle with the high ball) and great feel. I have been searching for this set for a long time and I finally the one.
