I'm only 27 years old and in my lifetime here's how it ranks.

1. Tiger Woods- Augusta hole #16 2005
2. Justin Leonard- Ryder Cup long putt made to win
3. Constantino Rocca- British Open putt made from the valley of sin after chunking the pitch shot against John Daly on the 72nd hole to tie and then loose in the playoff

T1. Tiger at 16 2005 Masters-so unexpected-what a great shot
T1. I don't know what tourney but he was on a downslope in a fairway bunker had trees in front of him the wind was blowin and he had to hit a hook off a cut lie in the fairway bunker with the ball like 2 feet below his feet. He hit it onto the green to like 10 feet and made the putt for birdie.

I dont have a list but one of them would be Chris Dimarco's putt to win the Presidents Cup.

David Toms' 10 footer for par after laying up to win the PGA...
Sandy Lyle's 7 iron out of the fairway bunker on 18 to win at Augusta...
Curtis Strange's bunker shot on 18 to win back to back U. S. Opens...
Tiger's 6-iron to a foot to win his first PGA Tour playoff against Tom Lehman...

more to come...

The second one was at the PGA i think... or maybe the US open, one of the two...i am forgetting the name of the course... but it was a great shot!

You sure that wasn't the one in the fairway bunker where he had to hit it over the big lake? He had like a one shot lead but didn't want to lay up. Both are on my Tiger video. He says what he thinks are his 5 greatest shots.

Could be...I just remember watching him hit that shot and thinking that it was a terrible decision that he was making and then, "zing", he pulls it off...and it turns out to not be such a bad decsion after all...

Tiger has a knack for making second guessers look bad REALLY often... ;)

As everyone thinks tiger at 16 at Augusta is the best. I disagree. 1 i expected to him do something brilliant. 2. he expects to make it. 3. its been done b4.

My favourite is the 3-iron from the fairway bunker at the pga championship with tiger. flat out brilliant.
or maybe the 4-iron during the 03 buick when he hit from long rough, under trees, made it cimb and stop on a dime over a bunker to a pin that was cut right past it.
or his 6-iron in the cdn open. those 3 my top 3 that i have witnessed. others r all second.

no canadian open was a hook lie in fairway bunker over water to a right pin location. trees werent really in play. tha was pga at medinah i believe. his feet were up against lip of bunker, cold, wind blowing he needed a high cut over trees.

Graig Parry's 6 iron in the playoff that he holed.
Davis Love's chip a few years ago at Augusta, kind of went like Tiger's, but better, went WAY past the hole and had some suck on it, a while later it rolled in.

1. Sandy Lyle, 7 iron on 72nd hole in 1988 Masters. Stunning.

2. Seve, 3 wood from fairway bunker on 18th hole of 1983 Ryder Cup singles against Zoeller. Maybe Tiger could do it now, but who else could have pulled it off?

3. Lanny Wadkins. Wedge on same hole. Not a tough shot, but under the pressure at the time? Amazing.

Honourable mentions to Tom Watson (82 US Open at Pebble), A couple of the Tiger shots already raved about, and Seve's 72nd hole chip in the 88 Open at Lytham. As an aside, as a kid of about 15 or so, I stood right behind Nick Faldo on the 18th at Wentworth in the World Matchplay final against Ian Woosnam. I think it was 1989. He hit a 1 iron second, from the middle of the fairway and from about 230 or so. He holed the eagle putt to win. The strike and flight of that 1 iron were so perfect, I've never seen another shot hit as well before or since. I still remember it now. Probably no-one remembers it on here, unless there are some UK residents in their early 30s from South-East England....

I'm going with Tiger on the 16th @ the Masters last year... simply amazing.

I think the shot your thinking about was at the 2002 PGA at Hazeltine.

Yeah Tiger's shot was great but many forget he bogeyed the next hole and went to a play off to win. I would say the best shot I have ever seen was the putt to win the Ryder cup for US.
