I've been following Reid's Sony pics and thought I'd give you guys a quick aloha. And since we are in the middle of an artic blast  (2* this morning and we've have over a foot of the white stuff covering the yard - some of the schools are closed not because of the snow but because it is too cold for the kids to even wait outiside for the bus), so I thought I would think about Hawaii instead. :beach:

Also, I would like to request that the action pick up a little in the Hawaii forum.....you may not realize it but many of us have to 'golf' through you guys for the next 3 or 4 months. :drinks:

Aloha and mahalo,

Randy

Randy,

Nice to see you so active in the Hawaii room. Very good of you to share your experiences with other "tourists" coming to the islands. The Hawaii Room has been kinda dead these days. We will do our best to play more golf and discuss the results! ;) Just to prove that I am trying to do my part, I will play tomorrow and Saturday! I will spend Sunday walking around at the Sony.

Well, it is currently 78* and breezy, as I am sure many of you have seen on The Golf Channel. I am currently watching the Sony Open from my dining room! I will be going out on the deck a little later to watch more of the action. Fortunately, I can see the big screen from the deck, so I can watch the action in person and on TV at the same time. My house is across the street from Waialae Country Club, so I look out at that golf course every day. Occasionally, I even get to see my house on some of the wide shots. I know! I know! It is a rough life! :D

Let us know if you ever make it out this way again. Until then, take care and see you around the room! :drinks:

Tony

You'll probably see a lot of me over the next few months....the golf bug is starting to bite (with the tours starting up) and we are pretty much stuck inside looking at over a foot of snow.

Good luck with you're golf today and tomorrow...and have fun at the Sony. I'll look for you guys  (or your house) from the comfort of my recliner.

I'm home from work (from teaching) for the 2nd consecutive day - we've had temperatures of -35 degrees... can't expect the kids to walk to school in that!

With that said, I'm off to our new indoor range!

The funny thing is that schools are closed today and State employees will be given administrative leave due to high winds! They are expecting 30 mph trades with gusts up to 60 mph! And yes! We did play golf in the high winds and the rain!

Is that why no one was at Carl's when I stopped by around lunch (not even Carl)? That must've been fun today. I had to work so I guess that makes me an "essential employee". That and I'm not a state worker. My wife got the day off and she was happily celebrating it to me as I got ready for work.

Every once in awhile, even Hawaii gets ugly weather. 76* windy and rainy. :( All things considered, I will play in a little rain and wind, as there are lot worse places I could be. :D
