Hi, we are planning a trip to the west coast in March and I am looking for some suggestions on some cheap courses (around $50-$100 or so) in the Phoenix and Flagstaff areas. We are both decent golfers (8 and 12 handicap) and have only time for 1 course at each of these destinations. Any suggestions? Thanks

Try www.golfnow.com they should have what you are looking for but usually only a week in advance. You can also sign up for emails from them and receive deeper discounts in your inbox.

Just an FYI - Flagstaff may still have snow on the ground in early March, otherwise you might expect early spring thaw conditions (soggy). Not the best town for public golf, although there are some very highly rated private courses, Flagstaff has but one public access course, and it's not all that interesting (Continental Country Club). 30 minutes west is Williams and the Elephant Rocks Golf course, I've not played it but heard good things. Williams is at a similar elevation as Flag, so the same weather concerns.

An hour south and at a lower elevation is Sedona and the Sedona Golf Resort and the Oak Creek Country Club. This might be the best publics in the region but likely more $ that you are looking to spend.
